Following the success of the European Diplomacy Championship at MidCon in 2011 the UK Face to Face Diplomacy Group is pleased to announce that there will continue to be a Diplomacy tournament at MidCon and that, as the final event in the tour of Britain, this event will once again see the presentation of the Bob Kendrick trophy for the winner of the whole tour as well as prizes for diplomats who have done well at the event itself.
2012 sees MidCon XXXIII return to a the Hallmark hotel in Derby – a 4 star hotel next to Derby's Main line railway station (which links directly to the Eurostar Terminal at St Pancras).

As part of the MidCon ebvent Dip players will be able to secure a discounted room rate and will enjoy a quality venue at a very competitive price. The Hallmark chain also have a sister Hotel across the road, which will be slightly cheaper.
The tournament format will be familiar to European players and to UK players who have played at MidCon in the past 2 years. We will hold 4 rounds of Diplomacy- Friday evening
Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
The games will run to Winter 1907 and will score using the C-Diplo 73 system. The tournament will also feature the team round and a top board.
The Diplomacy tournament at MidCon is the UK National Diplomacy Champion and is also the last step of the Tour of Britain, so we are looking forward to a good tournament!
